TC Yasa Loloma Package

The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management in collaboration with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and Fiji Airways have launched the “TC Yasa Loloma Package” which provides a 30% discount for organisations, groups and individuals living abroad to send disaster relief items to Fiji with Fiji Airways.

The 30% discount on market cargo rates is applicable for consignment of relief items from Auckland, Sydney, and Los Angeles. The offer is valid until January 15, 2021 and is dependent on the availability of space on the flights.

The package complements the duty concession on disaster relief goods announced earlier by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority.  The concession includes exemption from VAT, Fiscal Duty and Import Excise.

There are two options for offshore donors to send relief items for TC Yasa relief they are:

 

OPTION 1

DISTRIBUTION BY NDMO

Consignee: National Disaster Management Office
C/- Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management 
Republic of Fiji.

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

1-Fill in the TC Yasa Relief Import Request FormInclude all relevant information (Item Type/ Quantity/ Weight / Volume)  to seek approval for your consignment BEFORE departure.

2- The NDMO will process your request and send you a confirmation email of approval for Duty and VAT exemption. This is the green light for your cargo to depart, contact your freight forwarders.

3- From there on, your cargo will be handled on arrival by the NDMO (customs clearance/ transport/ storage/ distribution) 

 

OPTION 2

DISTRIBUTION BY NDMO CERTIFIED PARTNER/ORGANISATION BASED IN FIJI

Consignee: National Disaster Management Office
C/- Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management
Republic of Fiji.

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

1- Fill in the TC Yasa Relief Import Request Form . Include all relevant information (Item Type/ Quantity/ Weight / Volume) to seek approval for your consignment BEFORE departure. Please ensure that your Fiji counterpart is a NDMO certified partner.

2- The NDMO will process your request and send you a confirmation email of approval for Duty and VAT exemption. This is the green light for your cargo to depart, contact your freight forwarders.

3- In Fiji, the NDMO certified partner will print the confirmation email (it is required for the customs clearance process). On arrival of your cargo, present Packing list, Waybill, Proforma Invoice and the confirmation email for Duty and VAT exemption from the NDMO to customs to get your goods cleared. The only fee due will be the Assessment Fee.

4- Once your cargo is released by Customs, you are in charge of organizing your own transport, storage and distribution in accordance with government priorities
