A major earthquake with shallow depth source location occurred in the Fiji Islands region at 10:53:10 AM,Magnitude: 7.2 Mw

EARTHQUAKE INFORMATION RELEASE NO.873/17 (click here) issued from the Mineral Reources Department indicated earthquake of this magnitude has a high potential to create a Tsunami.

This serves as a Tsunami warning and will keep monitoring for further updates.
